Product Description Sky quad LNB as used by Sky installers. Use this LNB if you wish to upgrade to Sky Plus or Sky HD. This LNB will also work with Freesat and free to air receivers. You may run up to four receivers with this LNB. The simple slot in design allows fitting onto all Sky satellite dishes with the rectangular LNB support arm. The arm cross section dimensions should be approximately 30mm x 16mm.

Does exactly as stated September 16, 2008 Gordon (uk) 67 out of 68 found this review helpful
Fitted completely in 5 minutes at most. Delivery the next day. Cannot recommend this product highly enough if you have limited expertise in the area, as I do. Extremely easy to fit and connect. Just make sure you have sufficient F connectors and insulation tape and you're up and running in minutes.

Bought this a while back and I'm now considering getting another for a second dish. Very easy to fit and extremely good signal on all 4 channels. If you want to self upgrade to Sky+, MultiRoom (with Sky card) or add Freesat then this is the LNB for you. Fits all Sky square arm dishes.

Does exactly what it says on the Tin...(Well, Box!)Sky Quad LNB
Fits in minutes to an existing sky dish.
All that's needed aditionally is Ladder(obviously!)some self-amalgamating tape(waterproof)and some insulating tape if you want to tidy the cables to the dish-arm,and and away you go. Upgraded my old sky to sky + with a second hand SKY+ box and by running a dual coax to the box.Sky+ SkyHD 20m Black wf65 twin coax Wiring kit for Dish LNB to satellite receiver Freesat foxsat HD PVR SKY will upgrade your account/ viewing card for free (as you won't be able to record or playback until you do).
Couldn't recommend higher.
Wrong fitting October 20, 2009 M. Botrill (UK) 15 out of 15 found this review helpful
The LNB is supplied with a female fitting for connection to the dish arm which in my case is an older Sky installation and requires a male fitting. Fortunately, a conversion kit is supplied which is where the problem starts.
The fitting is obviously not designed for that model of LNB as the throat is smaller and has different locating points than the collar so it simply moves about which is not good. So after much up and down the ladder trying the fitting from the old LNB and so on, I wound a load of tape around the throat to fill the gap. Up the ladder, it fits a treat. Down the ladder, no signal: on anything! Up the ladder, fiddle, Down. Nope. Up......
With the help of a finder kit, I find the dish just needs tilting up slightly. Now got a cracking signal on both the FreesatHD and Sky!
So, if you do buy one of these, and you really should, considering the price is a quarter of others, then don't assume you won't need a sat finding kit. Oh, and a good pair of legs!
good and cheap Sky + upgrade February 18, 2008 M. A. Cross (UK) 15 out of 15 found this review helpful
I don't know why this LNB is much cheaper thatn others for sale on Amazon but I can say that it works perfectly.
You don't need any tools to fit it, you just pull out a plastic plug that holds in your existing LNB and fit the new one using either one of the new plastic sleeves supplied or like I did using the original one and then replace the plug. Remove the tape around the cable and unscrew it and re-attach to the new LNB. I didn't have to adjust my dish or anything like that and it the picture was spot on.
I bought some satelite cable from my local electrical shop, £20 for 40 metres (I bought so much because I was also moving my ordinary sky box into a different room) and a some connectors (you could get the bloke in the local shop to make up the cable ends if you don't know how). I drilled a hole through the wall next to the original cable, ran the cable to my new Sky+ box which was kindly given to me by a friend who has gone to HD and job done. I phoned Sky to get a Sky+ subscription which cost nothing and the next morning all the Sky+ featured were working. Total cost £25 and an hour or so of work instead of £150 to get it from sky.
