SO FAR SO GOOD December 14, 2006 Michael Edward Ford (ENGLAND) 14 out of 14 found this review helpful
QUICKLY INSTALLED, WOULD HAVE PREFERRED THE FULL SPECIFICATIONS DISPLAYED WITH AMAZON. COMPANY SET UP IN AUGUST 2006 IN UK, VERY HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY, HOWEVER THEY HAVE NOT GOT THE FULL SPEC. SPEAKERS OUTPUT IS 5 WATT PER CHANNEL, PLENTY OF VOLUME, SET UP WAS OK A BIT NIGGLY TO START WITH BUT COLOUR/SOUND AND PRESENTATION IS FIRST CLASS FOR THE £429 I PAID BEFORE CHRISTMAS - TOUCH WOOD STILL GOING AOK. I THINK THE ms WOULD BE 12ms AND THE RESOLUTION 1000 ???? DOES NOT SAY IN THE INSTRUCTION MANUAL PROVIDED. TIME WILL TELL WITH THIS MODEL
Great value, but not perfect March 10, 2007 The Zookeeper (SE England) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
We bought this as a second set, and when the 42" Samsung plasma had to go back it was temporarily promoted from understudy to star, . I've been very pleased with how it's performed. I made a mistake connecting it at first, the aerial goes in where it says DTV then you connect the short lead from RF out to TV aerial in, the quick start is not clear on this. The menus seemed hard work but evemntually got my head round them.Wife still does not like the source select. Only real failing is our upscaling Denon DVD will not play PAL DVDs over the HDMI, it does play NTSC DVDs over HDMI, and of course PAL over everthing else????. For the screen size component is OK so we use it like that. The tech support line were not great, had not heard of HDCP so hard to let me know if it was compliant!
Excellent Value 32" LCD TV with Freeview! January 23, 2007 S. Gardiner (Somerset) 17 out of 18 found this review helpful
I was looking for a second TV for my teenagers to use so I was happy to find this one at such a good price and including Freeview. No problems at all setting it up which took about 20 minutes from opening the box. It has all sorts of connectors but only one HD connector- I am told two are better (one each for HDTV and HDDVD until someone manufactures a combination) but I only need one. The picture and sound quality are both excellent and the remote is simple to use. The instruction book looks reasonable but I haven't needed to use it. There is a promise of web-based support soon if needed.
If you don't feel the need for a branded TV I would have no hesitation recommending this one and may even get another one for the living room.

So far so good, I do not know if I have saved £200 or wasted £400 and wont know until it breaks, or end of life.
The TV is fine, the interface shows its monitor history with VGA (actually WXGA I think) The resolution is 1366x768. A total of 9 interfaces TV, DVB, AV, S-Video 2x SCART YUV (a US interface) VGA (PC) and HDMI
The channel lists are a bit over the top, TV can have upto 150 analgue channels and DVB upto 600 digital channels. Also this has separate inputs for analgue and digital RF ( a connection cable is supplied but you can if needed DVB out to the Video then back into the TV).
The manual is a bit thin, and not well written (probably translated from Chinese) When on standby the circle around remote interfcae, below the screens glows blue
My best bargain ever! March 30, 2007 Inspiration Dot (Manchester) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I've been looking for a 32" LCD TV for a while and as I was shopping on a budget I was on the hunt for a great deal and I believe I've found it with this TV. It was good to spend time researching to be sure of what you are looking for.
My shopping list was good contrast (this TV is 1200:1 - had to do a bit of research to find this out), includes Freeview (and it does), budget £400 - £450 (so £399 was great).
Despite reservations it was easy to set up and install the only thing I got wrong was setting up the freeview but one call to the helpline and they sorted it out without a problem (recommend you call during the day rather than evening) I had just misread the instructions. My husband is super impressed with my bargain hunting skills - all in all a 5 star rating for me and the TV!
