Customer Reviews: Does the job simply August 26, 2009 J. Bassett 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I got this to adapt an Ergotron wall-mount with 100X100 vesa holes to our 32" Philips TV with 200X200 mounting points. It's dead simple and (should) have taken just a minute to fit. Unfortunately, the screws supplied were slightly too big for the holes on the ergotron. It took 10 mins to make the mounting holes slightly (less than a mm) bigger and then I was up and running. Not the Hama's fault the Ergotron holes are so small and I could have purchased slightly smaller screws.
On the plate itself, the 100X100 and 100X200 holes are counter-sunk, as are the supplied screws, so the whole thing should fit nicely flush with whatever you are adapting it to.
Usable to connect 100x100 monitor to 200x100 stand; requires M4 and M6 washers August 31, 2010 Toby Speight (Scotland) I couldn't find an adaptor to mount a monitor on a bigger bracket, so I got this hoping to use it 'in reverse'. It performs acceptably in this role. Although the description doesn't say, it includes 4 countersunk machine screws and matching nuts - larger than the VESA standard M4, probably M6 or so. I was able to lightly glue these into the 200x100 holes facing away from the monitor, then use the monitor's own screws and washers to attach the plate to the monitor (the 100x100 holes are a bit larger than the monitor's screws, of course, as they're intended to take the supplied screws). I was then able to attach the monitor/plate combination to the stand - though I needed to buy washers as none are supplied.
The 200x200 holes are not countersunk, and appear to be normal M4 size, so this probably won't work so well to attach a 100x100 monitor to a 200x200 stand.
