great little bit of kit for anybody that has a harmony universal remote.
your ps3 uses blu tooth but your remote uses ir well this will change your ir into a blu signal letting you control all of the functions of your ps3.
no messing just add ps3 to your harmony activities pair up the adaptor to the ps3 in the accessories setup and thats it!

This PS3 controller does exactly what it says on the tin. It connects to the PS3 via bluetooth, and accepts RF remote control codes from my Logitech Harmony universal remote (650). All I had to do was to plug it in, switch on and select the correct bluetooth Connection menu on my PS3, press the red button on the base of the adaptor, and hey presto - all done. It took seconds.
But. The adaptor has a green light on it that is unnecessarily bright - or totally unnecessary dependant upon your point of view. Lights off, settle back to watch a BluRay movie - and it is impossible not to notice the little green beggar. Logitech must have used military grade technology to make sure you could see the light from a good mile away.
So - as a functional device, the adaptor is beyond reproach. It even looks quite sexy - sleek and black. The mains adaptor cable is long and thin. The instruction leaflet is clear and easy to follow. But you might want to buy some black tape or a tin of paint to dim the experience.

This item is great. There is no time lag. It allows the harmony remotes to turn off the PS3 with a single click (not available on the original remote).
This adapter takes the place of the PS3 remote on your PS3 (rather than a generic bluetooth device) so you cannot use a Harmony remote and an original PS3 remote at the same time.
It is very easy to set-up: use the PS3 menu to pair it (let it know that its there) and that's it! Just what you need!

Does exactly what it supposed to do. Only problem I have had is when I plug the device in it starts up my PS3 when I have not commanded it to. Would of been 5 stars else.

The product does work OK. It is the only solution I know of that CAN be used to control PS3 with a universal remote. BUT - it is pricey. There should be one bundled with a controller, and for less - this solution is really expensive, given that the PS3 controller is so cheap.
