4 out of 5 stars Redressing the balance   March 7, 2006

I notice that the foregoing reviews have not been too complimentary. First one has to realize the limitations of wireless equipment. All wireless equipment is subject to occasional outside interference and therefore music purists would be well advised to stay away from wireless equipment. However I found these headphones did all the manufacturers said they would. I can even walk down the street with them still playing normally within the specified range. The freedom to walk about just has to be experienced. I even bought a second set to avoid keep having to change between music equipment and the quality is more than adequate for my purposes. I particularly like the auto-tuning feature which saves having to do it manually. Just press the button and enjoy.

4 out of 5 stars Really happy with these...   June 27, 2006

I receeived these headphones as a gift, and to be honest i couldnt be happier with them. The sound is clear, bass is pretty decent, and it cuts out noise coming in and going out to the rest of the world, a great feature. Comfort is clearly a feature here, with thick, spongy pags between you and solid plastic.
The auto-tuning bit and volume control right by your head is cool, and the noise-blocker and three channels are also very useful bonuses. They are also very pleasing to look at, both the charging dock & the 'phones, so overall they are good value for money.
My only problems are the occasional bits of interference which can cause a lot of distortion in what you listen to, and the fact that it can be a right pain in the arse to line up the phones on the dock properly. Other than that, these really do do everything that it says on the box; i have got many hours of happy music listening from them.

5 out of 5 stars Great quality sound   September 13, 2006

Initially I found the same problem as some of the other reviewers - namely a hissing sound, sometimes pretty loud especially when away from the TV. However after a couple of days I found that increasing the headset volume on the TV (not on the headphones) greatly improved the sound quality. You can adjust the volume on the headphones to compensate, but I found that the sound is now hiss-free, just as good quality as my old wired headphones!

5 out of 5 stars Worth persevering   December 2, 2006

I initially found some of the problems other reviewers faced with background hiss and so on. I'm using the headphones plugged into the headphone socket of my laptop. After some fiddling around I discovered that you need to have the PC volume set to maximum and set Windows Media Player to max volume as well. I then adjust the volume on the phones. I now get almost perfect, hiss free sound and can wander around the house without hardly any loss of signal. Much better than I expected for the money.

2 out of 5 stars Noisy etc.   September 27, 2005

I am not in position to say whether my problem applies to all wireless headphones, but these always have a distinct background noise. When I use it with my TV/DVD the sound from the TV goes away suddenly every 5 minutes or so and is replaced with a loud noise, and the only way to get the sound back is to go to the TV, take the plug out and re-insert it. Not really what I expected. I live in a house with wireless broadband, wireless phones, mobile phones etc., that could be an explanation, and the reason why I do not rate them 1. I'm going back to wired headphones!
